Dough:

  • 300 g flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • grated zest of 1 lemon
  • 25 g of yeast
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 egg yolks
  • milk q.s.
  • 1 pinch of salt

To cover the dough:

  • 100 g of butter (soft)
  • 150 g of sugar
  • Beat the two ingredients

After mixing all the ingredients, roll out the dough with a rolling pin and make it tall about 1 cm. Spread with butter and sugar well beaten.

Cut with a wheel, strips of 3 or 4 cm, roll up on themselves and put them in a plate of baking paper. Let rise for about 3 hours and then put in the oven for 10 – 15 minutes at 180 °.

Dust with icing sugar.
